Database of embryonic development, stem cell research and regenerative medicineThe LifeMap Discovery™ database is a state-of-the-art roadmap for stem cell research, providing comprehensive coverage of embryonic stem cell biology. By integrating embryonic development with stem cell biology, molecular, cellular, and anatomical and disease related information, and providing data mining and bioinformatics applications, it provides a unique, powerful platform for stem cell research and stem cell based therapeutic product development. This platform will be utilized for its internal and collaborative efforts, and also will be offered to academic and industry scientists for their research and product development efforts. |

GeneCards is a searchable, integrated database of human genes that provides concise genomic related information, on all known and predicted human genesThe GeneCards human gene database extracts and integrates a carefully selected subset of gene related transcriptomic, genetic, proteomic, functional and disease information, from dozens of relevant sources. It provides robust user-friendly access to up-to-date knowledge. GeneCards overcomes barriers of data format heterogeneity, and uses standard nomenclature and approved gene symbols. GeneCards presents a complete summary for each gene, and provides the means to obtain a deep understanding of biology and medicine. Information is featured in 20 GeneCards sections.

PanDaTox |

The PanDaTox database aims at identifying genes and intergenic regions that are unclonable in E. coliPanDaTox is a database of genes that are potentially toxic to bacteria. The construction of this database is based on computational methods that scan a microbial genome and detect specific genes that kill E. coli if cloned into it. These methods identify genes and intergenic regions that fail to propagate in E. coli in the process of whole genome shotgun sequencing, thus creating sequencing gaps. It has been shown that these sequencing gaps are frequently caused by toxic genes, which may have antimicrobial properties.
